Our coverage in the media
With our media coverage we welcome the chance to allow our children to become engaged and productive citizens with equal chances to thrive in life!
We always emphasise the importance of a child-sensitive protection environment and the way in which our entire family provides a model for enhancing access to basic services for the most marginalised children in Malaysia.

Some 43 from the Lighthouse Children Welfare Home Association Kuala Lumpur & Selangor had a field day at the Bayview Beach Resort on their annual getaway over the Merdeka weekend holidays recently.
They were greeted by resort general manager, Lawrence Perera and his able team upon arrival at the resort.
This is their fourth trip to Penang for the children aged from two to 19 years-old.
Founders of the home Steven Silvaraju and his wife Jacinta accompanied other caretakers and the children.
“Hosting children from the home is our way of giving back to the community.
“We are happy that the children enjoyed their stay with us and also the Merdeka BBQ dinner we hosted,” said Perera.
The BBQ dinner consisted of favourites like grilled sausages, prawn, lamb, beef and other seafood. The dessert spread was also the favourite stop for the children.
The home was founded 16 years ago and offers shelter for children from broken homes, the underprivileged and from the Orang Asli community.
“Some of the children have grown up to become professionals and leading a normal life,” said Steven.
He also added that the children love coming to Penang as they can enjoy the beach and also visit Penang Hill and places of interest.
Kind souls who want to help the home call 014-2280192 / 017-2534566 to offer assistance in cash or kind.
